I am a professor at School of Social Work, California State University San Bernardino. I received research training in social work and behavioral sciences at the University of Southern California with a focus on sociocultural and environmental determinants of health and health behaviors including drinking, smoking, diet, and physical exercise over the life course. As such, my research agenda is to understand individuals' health in their social environment and probe into person-environment interactions that promote healthy behavior and sustain good physical and mental health.
