Xiang Qi is a Research Scientist at New York University, Rory Meyers College of Nursing, where he also earned his PhD degree this year. His research primarily focuses on the psychosocial determinants of healthy aging and longevity, oral public health, and health disparities among older Asian immigrants. Xiang has contributed to several NIH-funded projects aimed at enhancing health outcomes for Chinese and Korean immigrant caregivers of dementia patients through internet-delivered psychosocial interventions. In the long term, he aspires to prevent Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias, and to promote dementia care among older American immigrants by adapting physical and social environments and developing psycho-behavioral health interventions.
