Professor Doris Yu is the Chair in Research at the School of Nursing, LKS Faculty of Medicine and the Associate Director of the Sau Po Center on Aging, the University of Hong Kong. Her research focuses on healthy aging promotion, disease management models for heart failure and dementia, and family caregiving. Her work has extensively integrated the concepts in dyadic science, digital healthcare and integrated care model. She has received over USD 10M external competitive grant to support the research work. Currently, she has developed a healthy aging framework based on the ICOPE model as advoated by WHO to promote healthy aging in Hong Kong. To advance evidence-based practice in gerontology, she has actively engaged in the Aging Expert Panel of the American Academy of Nursing, and serves a number of expert advisory panels of both government and non-government sectors to support priority-setting for aged care policy and service. Over the years, Professor Yu actively engages in science implementation and has developed various territory-wide evidence-based programs to increase the preparedness of rapid population aging in the edu cational and healthcare pursuits.
