Dr. Wenjun Li is Professor and Chair of Public Health and Director of Center for Health Statitsics at University of Massachusetts Lowell. He has diverse expertise in multiple areas of aging and public health research. He is experienced in analysis of observational cohorts, sample surveys, randomized clinical trials, hospital administrative data, insurance claims data and electronic health records. For the past 17 years, his lab has been continuously funded by federal and national foundation grants and state contracts. His Health Statistics and Geography Lab conducts NIH- and state-funded population health and clinical studies. His lab has substantial experience and well-published in research on racial/ethnic and sex disparities in health and health behaviors, social determinants of health in aging, falls, mental health, health behaviors, substance use, medication use, surgeries and outcomes research. His most recent research focus on racial/ethnic, sex, socioeconomic and geographic dispariteis in injuries, health and health behaviors in older age.
