Dr. Robert J. Graham serves as a Senior Research Scholar and Associate Director at Scripps Gerontology Center at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, having returned to Miami in 2021.
Dr. Graham graduated in 1989 from Lee University before earning a master of gerontological studies degree from Miami University in 1991 and a PhD in sociology from the University of Cincinnati (UC) in 1997. Graham worked as a research analyst at UC’s Institute for Policy Research for 2 years and a Research Associate at UC’s Dept of Family Medicine for 3 years. He also worked as a programmer/analyst for a software development company where he managed target marketing applications for two major retail clients.
Dr. Graham has been a faculty member for 21 years. Prior to joining Scripps Gerontology Center, he was Professor of Sociology and Chair of Behavior and Social Sciences at Lee University for 11 years and Dean and Provost at Waynesburg University for 5 years. Additionally, he served as the Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs and Professor of Sociology at Grove City College. Most recently, Dr. Graham served as President of Redeemer University in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada.
