Christina Mu is a PhD candidate from the University of South Florida, School of Aging Studies. Her research centers around multidimensional sleep health and pain among middle-aged and older adults. My dissertation focuses on the joint associations of sleep health and pain on health and well-being outcomes, and I am exploring differences between healthcare workers and non-healthcare workers. She is one of the lab managers of the Sleep, Stress, and Health Lab under the direction of Dr. Soomi Lee. She is a recipient of the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute F31/NRSA Predoctoral Fellowship, 2022-2023 H. Edward and Mildred Greely Fellowship, Graduate Student Success Fellowship, and former Ronald E. McNair Scholar. Christina had the honor of being a 2023 GSA Summer Policy Intern named in honor of Dr. Kathryn Hyer and Greg O'Neill, where she worked on various tasks related to provisions for the Older American Act, reauthorization of the Pandemic and All Hazards Preparedness Act, climate aging and aging, Medicare Advantage outcomes, and reframing aging.
Christina will graduate Summer 2024, and is seeking a post-doctoral research position postgraduation.
