Dr. Sheffler is a licensed psychologist and assistant professor at Florida State University (FSU). She received her Bachelor's degree from Southern Illinois University, her Master's and PhD in Clinical Psychology from Florida State University, and completed her clinical internship at the Denver VA Medical Center. Dr. Sheffler is the Director of the Integrative Science for Health Aging research program at the FSU Center for Translational Behavioral Sciences. Dr. Sheffler's research focuses on improving scientific understanding of risk and resiliency factors related to late-life health and cognitive functioning. Currently, her work focuses on developing scalable behavioral interventions to enhance adherence to challenging lifestyle changes that improve late-life health and reduce risk for Alzheimer's disease and related dementias.
