Dr. Yu is a postdoc fellow at the Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU) Department of Neurology, and her postdoc training is funded by a K00 grant (K00AG068492). Her research to date has centered on older adults' social connectedness and interpersonal relationships. She aspires to develop behavioral health interventions to reduce social isolation and prevent cognitive decline among older adults. During the doctoral training stage, Dr. Yu developed expertise in behavioral health research through extensive community engagement and primary data collection with culturally diverse older adults. Her research experience and academic training to date have laid the foundation to develop and implement behavioral health intervention programs. She is currently funded by the Oregon Alzheimer's Disease Research Center (OADRC, P30AG066518) to raise awareness about dementia and to engage Asian Americans in the Portland Metro area to participate in research for prevention, early intervention, and care of Alzheimer's Disease and related Dementia.
