Kelly E. Cichy is Professor of Human Development and Family Science and Interim Executive Director of Student Success Initiatives at Kent State University. She received a B.S. in Psychology from Xavier University, and her Master’s and PhD in Human Development and Family Studies from The Pennsylvania State University. In her research, Dr. Cichy examines the links between stress and health, seeking to understand how family stressors shape health and well-being and contribute to health disparities in midlife and later adulthood. She is a Fellow of the Gerontological Society of America, and serves as on the editorial boards of the Journal of Marriage and Family, the International Journal of Aging and Human Development, and the Journal of Adult Development. Dr. Cichy is also on the Executive committee of Division 20 (Adult Development and Aging) of the American Psychological Association, where she serves as Division Treasurer.
