Anum graduated from Durham University, United Kingdom in 2019, where she then completed her pre-registration Clinical Pharmacist training in a National Health Service Trust. In 2020 she started a PhD in Pharmacy Practice, funded by the National Institute for Health and Care Research, at Newcastle University. Her research interests include medication usage and health inequalities. In 2023 she became part of the Patient Safety Research Collaborative, Newcastle University, where she focuses on research around inequalities and polypharmacy. She continues to practice as a Clinical Pharmacist across both primary and secondary care settings and in addition works with the General Pharmaceutical Council in accrediting the MPharm degree in the United Kingdom.
