Dr. Nicole Ruggiano is Professor and Associate Dean of Research within the School of Social Work at the University of Alabama. Her research focuses on developing and testing technologies that support people with dementia and their caregivers. Dr. Ruggiano has previously been selected as a John A. Hartford Foundation Geriatric Social Work Scholar, an American Political Science Association Congressional Health and Aging Policy Fellow, and Gerontological Society of America Fellow. In addition to her research, she engages in regular advocacy efforts and public health education related to health and aging.
