Naoko Muramatsu, PhD, is a Professor of Community Health Sciences at the School of Public Health and Fellow at the Institute for Health Research and Policy at the University of Illinois Chicago. Trained in health services research and sociology, Dr. Muramatsu investigates aging and health in individual, social, and healthcare contexts with the goal of improving the quality of life of older adults and people who care for them locally, nationally, and globally. As PI and Co-I on university-, foundation-, CDC-, and NIA-funded grants, Dr. Muramatsu conducts studies on aging, health, caregiving, health care access, technology and workplace health. She is a fellow of the Gerontological Society of America.
