Katya Cruz Madrid MD, FACP, AGSF, CMD, is Board certified in Internal Medicine and Geriatrics. She is an Associate Professor of Medicine in the Division of Academic Internal Medicine and Geriatrics at University of Illinois at Chicago, practices also at Jesse Brown VA in Chicago. Her clinical practice focuses in the holistic care of adults and older adults, focuses in the diagnosis and treatment of chronic diseases, dementia, frailty, falls, mood disorders, patients with multiple comorbidities, and social challenges. She finds important a pro-active communication with patients and families. She is passionate about her community and has participated in different public health community work through the years.
