I am an Associate Professor at the University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB). My research uses data from population-based cohort studies of aging to investigate life course risk factors for dementia, cognitive impairment, and cognitive decline. My research is also focused on understanding the healthcare utilization of older adults. I am especially interested in advancing knowledge on the quality and outcomes of post-acute care for older adults and the differences in healthcare utilization by older adults with and without dementia.
