Bas Dikmans is currently doing a PhD in educational sciences at the Vrije Universiteit Brussels, Belgium. In 2021 he became part of the CIVEX project: “Exclusion from civic engagement of a diverse older population: Features, experiences and policy implications”. His research focuses on civic engagement of older persons in two disadvantaged urban neighborhoods in Brussels.
