Elliott is a fifth-year graduate student pursuing his Ph.D in Clinical-Health Psychology with a concentration in quantitative analysis at University of Miami. He graduated with a B.A in Art History and Psychology from Boston University’s Kilachand Honors College at and completed his Masters in Public Health from Boston University in 2017. Elliott is a member of the Health Promotion and Care (HPAC) Lab working under the mentorship of Dr. Steven Safren. Prior to joining HPAC, Elliott had the opportunity to work at a number of psychology/public health focused organizations include the Fenway Institute, Massachusetts General Hospital, ICAP at Columbia University’s Mailman School of Public Health, and the New York City Department of Health’s Bureau of HIV/AIDS. Elliott’s current research interests are in health psychology, the intersection of HIV-aging-LGBTQ health, and risk reduction interventions among high risk populations. He currently is the PI on a NIDA funded R36 dissertation grant examining th effects of aging-related syndemic conditions on HIV risk and quality of life among older sexual minoirty men in Florida as well as a small qualitative pilot study exploring how older sexual minority men conceptualize risk and resilience in regards to their own mental and sexual health.
