Vanessa Young is a Senior Clinical Research Coordinator at the Biggs Institute for Alzheimer's and Neurodegenerative Diseases at UT Health Science Center San Antonio. She manages studies where technology is used to better understand brain aging.
Vanessa also serves as an adjunct faculty at Arizona State University, teaching courses in sensation and perception. She remains an active member of Cochrane Rehabilitation Field, part of Cochrane, where she contributes on the development and writing of reviews.
Her research interests include neurological disorders, neurodegenerative diseases, health outcomes, and community-based research. She is currently examining the association between sleep architecture and cognition. She is passionate about improving quality of life for those with neurological disorders and applied to the Translational Science PhD program at UTHSCSA this cycle.
Vanessa earned her M.S. in Psychology from Arizona State University and her B.A. in Psychology summa cum laude from Oregon State University.
