Yiang Li is a master's student in Computational Social Science at the Department of Sociology, University of Chicago. He received the First-Class Honours BSc in Social Sciences with Data Science from University College London (UCL) in 2022.
His research primarily focuses on four areas in quantitative sociology: Aging and Life Course, Social Demography, Social Determinants of Health, and Computational Social Science. His primary research motivation is to use data science and/or computational techniques to 1) improve the understanding of how social conditions affect health outcomes, 2) examine the early-life contextual drivers behind late-life health inequalities, and 3) employ computational and advanced statistical techniques in data acquisition and analysis for medical sociology research.
