Francine Bench Jensen is an Associate Professor of Nursing at Utah Valley University where she teaches in the ASN, BSN, and Master’s programs. She also serves as the Program Coordinator for Undergraduate Programs. In this capacity she works closely with students and oversees the newly developed faculty-student mentor program.
Francine’s research interests include providing hospice care for people experiencing homelessness, improving engagement for students in the classroom, and developing the cultural competence of nursing students. She enjoys mentoring undergraduate students in research activities. Her nursing practice is in gastrointestinal, telemetry, emergency, and trauma care. Francine received her PhD from the University of Utah (2021) and her Master’s in nursing education from George Mason University (2012).
