Jennifer Bugos serves as a Professor of Music Education at the University of South Florida. Dr. Bugos’ research interests include the neurological basis for music perception and cognition with regard to human development, lifelong learning, and cognitive transfer. Her interests have led to the development of new music education programs for healthy and clinical populations of adults (Multimodal Music Training; Keys to Staying Sharp; and Piano for Parkinson’s). She has obtained research support from the National Endowment for the Arts, the GRAMMY Foundation, Retirement Research Foundation, and National Institutes of Health.
Manal Lamouine, a Doctoral Student in Neuropsychology and University of South Florida Fulbright Scholar will be presenting this research. Her research interests include examining the role of music training interventions on executive functions in aging.
