John Hobday is the CEO and Founder of HealthCare Interactive, Inc., an edtech company founded in 1997 and headquartered in the Minneapolis. He created and developed the evidence-based, 5-step method of dementia care called the CARES® Approach. CARES is widely published in academic literature and is recognized and recommended by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), Alzheimer’s Association, American Health Care Association, and National Center for Assisted Living.

In 2021, Mr. Hobday co-founded Savvy Systems, LLC, the new national home for the evidence-based Savvy Caregiver program. He currently serves as Co-Director of Savvy Systems along with Carey Wexler Sherman, PhD. John's commitment to dementia education, both for professionals and for family caregivers, is derived from the impact of the disease personally. Both of his grandmothers as well as his dear aunt have died with complications from Alzheimer’s disease. This personal impact has resulted in a commitment to improve the quality of dementia care around the country.
