PhD Candidate
University of Southern California
Los Angeles, California, United States
I am a Ph.D. candidate at the School of Gerontology, University of Southern California. I study aging, with a focus on biodemography and population health. Specifically, I use biomarkers at the population level to understand health-risk, -trajectory, -outcomes, and -disparity. I was trained to understand human aging from multidisciplinary perspectives using advanced methods. The biomarkers I use span a range of different types, from clinical-level markers, such as the indicators of cardiometabolic health, to molecular-level markers, including DNA methylation and RNA measures. I received training in aging biology, psychology, sociology, and policy. I was also trained in research methods, including multivariate statistics, longitudinal analyses, demographic methods, econometrics, and machine learning.
