David Yang is a first-year Sociology Ph.D. student at the University of Michigan Ann Arbor. He likes to pursue the study of social determinants of health from two perspectives: intersectionality and institutional effects on health. He is interested in how socioeconomic health inequalities differ across different welfare states (e.g., policy effects of health) and how different population groups (e.g., immigrants, ethnic minorities, queer people) are affected differently.
